Emanzen: Each enteric film-coated tablet contains: Serratiopeptidase 5mg (10,000 Serratiopeptidase units).
Emanzen Forte: Each enteric film-coated tablet contains: Serratiopeptidase 10 mg (20,000 Serratiopeptidase units).
Serratiopeptidase is an enzyme derived from a bacterial species belonging to the Genus Serratia. one unit of Serratiopeptidase is defined as the enzymatic activity yielding product equivalent to 1.0 mcg of amino acid per minute on casein assay. One milligram of Serratiopeptidase contains 2,000 units of Serratiopeptidase.
Emanzen/Emanzen Forte can be taken to support ear, nose and throat health. It also aids in supporting normal lung function as well as normal blood circulation and oxygenation.
In mild to moderate conditions: 5-10 mg 3 times a day orally after meals. In moderate to severe conditions: 10 mg 3 times a day orally after meals or as directed by the physician.
Maximum daily dosage of 30 mg. The tablet is to be swallowed whole and not be broken or chewed.
Hypersensitivity to any of the component of the formulation.
If the patients is pregnant, nursing, taking anti-coagulants or under medical supervision, consult a healthcare professional before use. Not recommended for children or long term use, unless otherwise directed by a healthcare professional.
May occasionally cause gastrointestinal disturbances such as anorexia, gastric discomfort and nausea.
The concomitant use of Emanzen/Emanzen Forte with an anticoagulant may intensify the anticoagulant effect.
